Single-Copper vs Double-Copper Paper for Hangtags
Single-Copper vs Double-Copper Paper for Hangtags
As a representation of a clothing brand’s strength on display in stores, the quality and elegance of clothing hangtags are very important. Many clothing brands choose copper paper for their hangtags. Today, LIJIE Labels, a clothing hangtag manufacturer from China, will introduce the differences between single-copper and double-copper paper.
Single-Copper Paper:
Single-copper paper has one side that has been coated and polished, while the other side is like ordinary printing paper. It is suitable for single-sided printing or mounting (mounting refers to joining two or more sheets of paper together). Some customers require thicker materials or smaller hangtags, and to achieve a high-end look, thicker paper is needed. This can be achieved by mounting multiple sheets together to reach the desired thickness. Single-copper paper is commonly used for single-sided printed hangtags, watch hangtags, paper bags, clothing bags, exhibition bags, packaging boxes, etc.
Double-Copper Paper:
Double-copper paper is coated and polished on both sides, making it smooth and shiny on both sides. It is ideal for double-sided color printing. It is often used for high-end book covers and inner pages, business cards, brochures, calendars, and more.
How to Distinguish Between Single-Copper and Double-Copper Paper:
The best way to distinguish these two types of paper is by checking whether they are printed on both sides. If not, it’s single-copper paper. Another way is by touch—double-copper paper is smooth on both sides, while single-copper paper has one smooth side and one rough side. Naturally, the smooth side is the printing side.
