China Custom Clothing Tags and Labels
What is a trademark label?
A trademark label is used to create product labels for textiles, outdoor goods, and other products. It is mainly divided into two categories: woven labels and printed labels.
- Woven Labels: Also known as "woven tags," these are labels made by weaving. They can be further divided into cut-edge woven labels and woven-edge labels.
- Printed Labels: These are trademarks applied to the fabric's surface through methods such as printing, heat transfer, or embossing.
The materials for trademark labels mainly include nylon-coated tape, satin ribbon, polyester tape, cotton tape, polyester-cotton tape, imitation cotton tape, blended tape, acetate hand-tear tape, non-woven fabric, kraft paper, DuPont paper, and others. Different types of fabric tapes have unique characteristics.
White satin ribbon: Flexible labels have more distinct features.
01. Process Classification | Coated Tape Classification
Coated tapes can be divided into two main categories based on the production process: dry-coated tapes and wet-coated tapes. Wet-coated tapes are further classified according to the yarn specifications of the base fabric: mainly 30D, 70D, and 200D.
Note: D refers to denier (also known as den or denier), which is the weight of a 9,000-meter-long yarn in grams. The higher the number, the thicker the yarn. For example, 150D means the weight of 9,000 meters of synthetic fiber yarn is 150 grams.
02. Process Classification | Satin Ribbon Classification
Satin ribbons are classified according to weaving techniques:
- Loom Machine: Creates satin fabrics such as five-satin, seven-satin, and double-faced satin.
- Plain Weaving Machine: A normal plain weave (alternating warp and weft threads, both sides the same). This type of machine can be understood as weaving two pieces at once.
- Loom Machine Variations:
- Five-piece: Has five frames for weaving, typically used for five-satin fabric.
- Seven-piece: Has seven frames, typically used for seven-satin fabric.
- Eight-piece: Has eight frames, typically used for double-faced satin fabric.
Process Classification | Woven Tape Classification
Woven-edge labels are classified by material into categories such as cotton woven-edge tape, regular woven-edge tape, and special woven tape. They can also be classified by weaving process (surface texture), including herringbone tape (single and double), plain tape, and bead tape. Regular woven-edge tape can also be subdivided into standard woven edges, fine edges (or slanted edges), and small edges (no edge).
